ZAFARÁN Tempo Stage at The Platform

Zafarán invites audiences on an exhilarating journey through the sounds and stories of the Mediterranean. Carmen Marsico’s expressive vocals move from haunting intimacy to exuberant celebration, while the ensemble’s virtuosic interplay, driving rhythms, and improvisation bring centuries-old melodies vividly into the present. The performance unfolds as a musical conversation across cultures and generations, revealing unexpected connections and inviting audiences to experience the Mediterranean not as a collection of separate traditions, but as a vibrant, ever-evolving musical world. “A vibrant tapestry of Mediterranean traditions.”—The World Music Foundation MEMBERS MAKE IT HAPPEN.
