Join Batalá, DMV’s all-women drum band, for free drumming workshops in samba-reggae, a vibrant Afro-Brazilian music genre that fuses the swing of Brazilian samba with the pulse of Jamaican reggae. Special guest Estrela Preta will perform a capoeira demo as part of the celebration. Free and open to all ages. No drumming or dance experience necessary.
