Dipped: Dipped is a dream pop, shoegaze band fronted by Mikaela Krall, where her alternative rock guitar textures fuse with her warm, pop-inspired vocals and songwriting. Formed at Lebanon Valley College in 2017, the band debuted with the Shadow EP (2020) and returned in 2025 with Sorry, their first full-length — an ethereal record that reveals the band’s mature atmosphere and musicianship. Specifically, a bit of Queens and a bit of Staten Island. For now, she resides in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, in which you can find Emaylia performing at intimate cafes, small festivals, and smoky bars. “Emaylia’s musical style can be described as a blend between jazz and mellifluous lick of R&B.” – The Story Podcast. At age 5, Emaylia sat on the kitchen floor painting, when she was asked what she would like to do. In one word, Emaylia answered, “piano.” Emaylia began taking lessons in classical music and continued to do so until she reached college. It was in university that Emaylia began to develop an intense attraction towards singing. Her musical influences included and still include Amy Winehouse, Durand Jones and the Indications, as well as Declan McKenna. During university, Emaylia found herself immediately in the practice rooms, for 6 hours daily, after classes were completed. This intensity of love, passion, inspiration, and connection is what Emaylia means to her.
