Delve into the historical origin of the Japanese ceremony and understand how it has evolved to today. Take a peek into Chinese tea culture and practices and through some of Grace Farms Tea Expert Frank Kwei’s own personal collection of teawares, learn to appreciate the art of presence and wabi sabi, the Japanese philosophy and aesthetics centered on finding beauty within impermanence and imperfection. Journey Into the World of Tea offers a tranquil, in-depth exploration of tea traditions through guided tastings, demonstrations, and engaging conversation. This six-part series takes place in the glass-enclosed Tea Pavilion, and is led by Grace Farms Tea Expert and Educator Frank Kwei, who brings decades of knowledge to each session.
