Although I don’t generally depict real people, my cartoons often contain bits and pieces of myself, friends, acquaintances and the famous. The cartoons and caricatures in this show are taken from my sketchbooks and other related drawings and paintings. Most of these images are spontaneously formed directly from my imagination. I use the distortions generated by this direct approach to incorporate a degree of randomness and freshness into the process. OPENING RECEPTION: Thursday, May 14th
