Engage in a meditative practice as you learn the fundamentals of observational drawing as well as how drawing can aid our plant identification skills. Students will learn to use the drawing practices of sightless contour, negative space, and gesture drawing as a way to connect with plants in the present moment. Everyone will leave with a better understanding of how drawing aids in our ability to observe what we see, leading to more appreciation of the plants in the landscape. While plant specimens will be provided, students are welcome to bring a beloved houseplant or a bouquet of their own. This workshop is open to ages 15+
