Try It! Mixed Media Still Life

This class will focus on combining traditional observational drawing with experimental layering techniques to create textured, multifaceted artwork. Students will learn to depict inanimate objects while exploring materials like acrylics, inks, charcoal, soft pastels, and collage. Experiment with combining wet and dry media, while building depth with found papers and embedded textures. Use objects and expressive mark-making to transform standard arrangements into personal “portraits” of subject matter. All Supplies are Provided. This series of workshops is offered in celebration of our upcoming 80th anniversary in 2027.
