The Visible and The Vanishing featuring Darrell Peterson

In The Visible and The Vanishing, Darrell Peterson presents a mesmerizing collection of floral works that hover delicately between presence and obscurity. By layering molten beeswax, damar resin, and pigment, Peterson crafts rich impasto surfaces where botanical forms emerge from and dissolve into translucent depths. The resulting encaustic pieces possess an ethereal luminosity, capturing the fleeting, ghostly beauty of flowers suspended in wax. Please join us at Gray Sky Gallery, 320 1st Ave S, Thursday, November 5th from 5-8 pm for the opening reception. Darrell will be at the opening and excited to speak with you about his work.
