About this event
One of 13 upcoming events at Greater Huntsville Humane Society.
NACA is the professional organization for animal services workers across North America. Shelter directors, animal control officers, veterinarians, field staff — the annual conference is where they come to train, connect, and get better at the work. This year the conference is in Huntsville, Alabama. GHHS is hosting. That’s not something that happens every year — and it’s a big deal for our team, our city, and the animals who benefit from a stronger, better-trained animal welfare community. The Embassy Suites Huntsville Downtown is both the conference venue and our partnered hotel for attendees. Staying on-site means no commute between your room and the training rooms. Book through the group link to lock in the conference rate. Hosted by Embassy Suites by Hilton Huntsville Downtown Get settled. Explore downtown. Hands on Training @ GHHS after lunch Three full days of training, an evening reception, and a Tuesday afternoon inside a working shelter. If you work in animal services, there aren’t many better ways to spend four days in December. Structured curriculum from Monday through Wednesday, led by people who do this work for a living. Tuesday afternoon moves from the conference room to our shelter. You’ll train with our team in an actual working facility. 5:30 to 7:30 PM. A chance to meet your peers & network with animal service providers. Rocket City. Great food, a real arts scene, and one of the fastest-growing downtowns in the South. Worth coming a day early! With support from a grant backed by the ASPCA, GHHS works alongside the Landers McLarty team every October to make an even bigger impact for the pets in our care and in the community. October has grown into something much bigger than just one event, and our community calendar is full of ways for you to dive into the four-legged fun!
