Tuesdays with Tania “PORTRAY” November

Tuesdays with Tania: PORTRAY 🎨 A November Portrait Study at Greene County Makers Space Tuesdays with Tania is back for November! Inspired by her new role as Adjunct Professor of Art at Emory & Henry University, Tania is bringing a little of the college studio experience to Greene County Makers with PORTRAY—a four-week exploration of portraiture. Tuesdays: November 3, 10, 17 & 24, 2026 9:30–11:30 AM Each Tuesday begins with a 30-minute mini lecture (9:30–10:00) exploring portraiture through art history, artists, techniques and different ways to portray a subject—from self portraits and portraits of others to animals, symbolism and unconventional approaches. Then from 10:00–11:30, it’s studio time! Come with an inspiration/reference photo of what you want to portray and work independently, with Tania there as your mentor and resource for feedback, problem-solving and artistic guidance. You choose your medium! Acrylic, oil, pastel, pencil, mixed media—or another medium you’re already comfortable using. Please note: Bring your own art supplies. Tania will provide lecture handouts, but materials are not included.
