I was not sure what to expect while preparing this collection of paintings, but the outcome is a cross-section of my life. I see a thread between the making of a painting and the experience of looking at a finished piece. While creating, I sometimes am able to find moments of ease. Day to day demands are put aside, and the joy of working with color and seeing color relationships emerges. Living in Portland and in Maine, I can enjoy both throughout the year. I see different moods and threads from our past which lead to and are woven within the fabric of our present day lives.
