Jesus Christ Superstar in Concert

Greenville Theatre and Mauldin Theatre Company are proud to unite for an unforgettable co-production. This unprecedented collaboration marks a truly special moment for the Upstate arts community, bringing two powerhouse organizations together to deliver one epic musical experience. With music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Tim Rice, this legendary rock opera shattered theatrical expectations and changed the landscape of musical theatre. Told entirely through song, the story explores the personal relationships and struggles during the final days of Jesus of Nazareth, all viewed through the complex, critical eyes of Judas Iscariot. Driven by its iconic, guitar-heavy score, this dynamic concert presentation strips back the traditional spectacle to focus on the raw, explosive energy of the music and the powerhouse vocals of our local talent. Join us for a unique theatrical milestone as we bring this timeless rock classic to life across two stages. This concert event will be performed across two exclusive weekends, splitting the run between both local stages so audiences across the Upstate can share in the experience. (Mauldin Theatre Company: January 15 – 16, 2027 & Greenville Theatre: January 22 – 23, 2027.) This show is rated PG-13 for mature themes.
