This workshop is an opportunity for new and experienced gardeners alike to explore design for their home gardens and landscapes with a focus on planting for pollinators, using home landscapes for food production, water-conscious design, and climate-resilient landscapes. We will cover various design philosophies and techniques, including permaculture, and generate your own landscape design and planting ideas. Very hands-on, workshop-style class to help you generate ideas, plans, and drawings that you can put to use! Cost: $55, includes design materials Register Here Instructor: Lauren Kelso, Growing Gardens Site Director:  Lauren has been doing residential gardening and landscaping in Boulder for 12 years and has studied design under-recognized and outstanding designers such as Alison Peck and Lauren Springer Ogden. She has her Colorado Master Gardener’s Certificate and specializes in gardening in the west with natives and edible landscapes. Lauren headed up the site and tree selection for the Growing Garden’s Community Orchard. She continues to learn about the magic of pruning and tending fruit trees from specialists across the state of Colorado.
