Honoring the Harvest with Growing Gardens this year! We hope you will join us on Tuesday, 11/24 for our annual Honoring the Harvest Farm Stand at Growing Gardens Boulder Farm from 3:30pm-6pm. This recent name change from ‘Thanksgiving’ to ‘Honoring the Harvest’ allows us to celebrate the people, land, and relationships that sustain our food. “Honoring the Harvest’ pays homage to the Indigenous covenant of the ‘Honorable Harvest’. Our commitment to food sovereignty reflects the intentions behind the practice as we continue toward cultivating a community with the land and all its peoples. We also acknowledge the Indigenous peoples who have stewarded this land and were forcibly removed. Indigenous communities have cultivated crops, saved seeds, nurtured the land, and shared agricultural knowledge across generations. Many of the foods and growing traditions that nourish us today are part of this enduring legacy. Come celebrate the autumn harvest with us and fill your tables with fresh, organically grown local produce and seasonal favorites from Growing Gardens and our local food partners, including pies and other baked goods.
