Docent-led hike at Black Lake

Join the Guadalupe-Nipomo Dunes Center for a Guided Hike with Docent Ray Segovia! 🗓️ Date: Saturday, August 29th, 2026 🕘 Time: 9:00am 📍 Location: Black Lake, 1156 Mesa View Dr, Arroyo Grande, CA 93420 🚪 Gates will be opened for ample parking. In collaboration with The Land Conservancy, explore the breathtaking Black Lake Ecological Area in celebration of Kathleen Goddard Jones’ birthday. The Land Conservancy has owned this area since 2000 and has continuously worked to restore its natural beauty and allowed The Dunes Center to bring our community to explore the local wildlife, as well as rare and endemic plant species. What to bring: water a light jacket closed-toe shoes a hat Driving Instructions: Directly off of Highway 1, where Highway 1 and Randy Ln meet. Drive over the train tracks to meet the Docent who will guide you through the gate for parking.
