For this performance, the Mead Witter School of Music Concert Choir and Chorale will join the University Symphony Orchestra, all under the baton of Dr. Mariana Farah. The evening will conclude with Richard Strauss’s Also sprach Zarathustra, a vast and awe-inspiring tone poem that journeys from primordial darkness to blazing transcendence, crowned by one of the most iconic openings in all of orchestral music.
