Historic Cooking Workshop

Cost: $55/members, $70/non-members This workshop is limited to eight participants and is intended for ages 15 and up. Participants will hone their baking and wood-stove cooking skills and develop their “biscuit hands” while preparing a mouth-watering assortment of quick breads. This hands-on workshop uses ingredients and techniques common in the early 20th century, recipes from cookbooks in use in the 1920s, and best-of-all, the Hanford House’s beautiful Royal Bride wood cookstove. A hearty soup and fresh butter will also be made as part of this bread-focused lunch, enjoyed by all in the Hanford House dining room.
