« Children’s Summer Camp | Small yet mighty, insects are “the little things that run the world,” as the naturalist E.O. Wilson said. They may be creepy and crawly, but they also help maintain healthy soil, keep rivers clean, vacuum up scraps, eliminate pests, and pollinate all sorts of plants to keep our ecosystem going. “Bug out” with us about all the different ways insects benefit the environment and discover ways to support them. Monday, July 13—Friday, July 17 | 9 a.m.—noon For children 4 years old–rising 3rd grade Monday, February 2 | 10 a.m. Registration opens for members at the Family level and above. Monday, February 16 | 10 a.m. Registration opens to the public. *Family level and above Become a Friend of the Gardens and join us in our mission to protect, nurture, and share the wonders of Birmingham Botanical Gardens. Ages 4–5 Entering Grades K–1 Entering Grades 2-3 Become a member Cancellation & Refund Policy Refunds (minus a $15 processing fee) will be given for Friends of Birmingham Botanical Gardens programs priced at $25 or more if notification is made at least 10 business days prior to class start date. (You are always welcome to send another person under your registration if you cannot attend.) Transfers may be made to programs of equal value at no additional fee. We reserve the right to cancel classes due to lack of participation or other unforeseen circumstances. Please note that programs are held rain or shine; in extreme weather conditions, programs may be canceled for your safety and the safety of staff and volunteers.
