Chreece, Indianapolis’ beloved independent hip-hop music festival, returns Saturday, August 29, 2026 for its 11th year, transforming the Fountain Square neighborhood into a citywide celebration of music, art, and community. Founded in 2015, the artist-led festival enters a historic new chapter with its first women headliners, led by Rico Nasty and Jorjiana, alongside a dynamic mix of international and national talent, rising regional voices, and standout Indianapolis artists.This year also introduces The People’s Village, a new free public gathering space designed to expand access through live performances, vendors, seating, shade, and family-friendly community programming. Across multiple venues and activations, Chreece continues its mission of uplifting artists, investing in culture, and showing what Indianapolis looks like when the city shows up for itself. Chreece is a celebration of Hip-Hop culture and the incredible talent found in the city of Indianapolis and the country. Over 70 local Hip-Hop artists, DJs, and producers will take the stage across eight different venues within the Fountain Square neighborhood. Participating venues are: HI-FI Annex (ALL AGES), HI-FI indoor (ALL AGES),White Rabbit (21+), Square Cat Vinyl (ALL AGES), Atomic Bowl (ALL AGES), WIldfyre Tap (ALL AGES), World Famous HotBoys(FREE & ALL AGES),The Fountain Square Plaza (FREE & ALL AGES), plus more public-activated spaces to be announced.
