Cocousocial Dumpling Class with Chef Sophie

Discover the flavor-packed world of dumplings in this hands-on culinary experience focused on a beloved classic, pork and veggie! In this dumpling-making class, you’ll dive into the art of crafting delicious, savory dumplings from scratch. We’ll begin by preparing a traditional pork and/or veggie filling that’s juicy, well-balanced, and packed with flavor. You’ll also have the opportunity to build your knife skills as you help prep ingredients for the filling. From there, the fun really begins! You’ll learn how to fill and fold your dumplings using dumpling wrappers. Our chef will guide you through essential cooking techniques, including steaming and pan-frying, so your dumplings come out perfectly tender with just the right crisp. Along the way, we’ll share helpful tips, tricks, and favorite local resources for sourcing ingredients and equipment so you can confidently recreate dumplings at home. No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen. This class is designed to be just as fun for hands-on cooking enthusiasts as it is for those who prefer to observe, assist, or simply enjoy taste testing along the way. Guests in the same booking party will work together throughout the class by sharing ingredients and equipment. Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in. To ensure the safety and enriching experience of all participants, we require children aged 14 to 17 be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Classes are intended for adults 18+.
