About Us Cactus Kate and The Pricks is an Asheville based country-Americana band whose heartfelt original songs range from sentimental to witty dive bar country. Their music features vocal harmonies, fiddle solos, and plenty of small town gossip. Core members include singer-songwriter/fiddler Kate Leigh Bryant, cellist/bassist Ashlee Booth, guitarist Curtis Killian, and drummer Scott Voloshin. Weekend Live Music Highland Brewing’s weekend live music series showcases incredible local talent, regional acts and national touring bands from across the East Coast and beyond. Free and open to all ages (unless noted otherwise), it’s the perfect excuse to gather your crew, listen and vibe to a wide range of genres including soul, bluegrass, acoustic, country, folk and more. Live music typically takes place on our scenic Meadow stage. Shows are rain or shine, if the weather doesn’t cooperate and we have time to move inside, the band will play in the Taproom where there’s still plenty of room to boogie. Chairs, blankets and well-behaved, leashed pets are welcome in the Meadow. Please note that coolers and outside alcohol are not permitted on the premises.
