Hoist a pint and lift your voice! Join Historic Beverly for an evening of maritime music, local history, and good beer at Beverly’s beloved Gentile Brewing Company. Sea shanties once echoed along Beverly’s waterfront, sung by daring Revolutionary War privateers to keep time while hauling lines, raising sails, and working the docks. At this very special public program, those songs come alive again through spirited performances, storytelling, and communal singing led by rapscallions Jeremy Bell and Larry Young in a modern-day gathering place: the Gentile Brewing Company taproom. Learn the history behind these rollicking tunes, discover Beverly’s deep maritime connections to the American Revolution, and enjoy a cold brew while you sing along. No musical experience required, just a love of history, music, fun, and a well-poured beer. Come for the shanties. Stay for the beer. Leave with a deeper connection to Beverly’s maritime past! Admission includes one beer (21+) or soft drink per ticket. Recommended for ages 18+
