Join Historic Beverly for a magical summer evening under the stars at Hale Farm with a special outdoor screening of the beloved classic The Sandlot. Bring your blankets, lawn chairs, and picnic snacks (no alcoholic beverages please!) and enjoy a family-friendly movie night on the beautiful grounds of Hale Farm. Before the film begins, guests can enjoy lawn games and activities provided by The Castle, making this a fun-filled evening for all ages. The Sandlot (1993) is a coming-of-age sports comedy about a new kid, Scottie Smalls, who moves to a new neighborhood in 1962 and is taken under the wing of local baseball prodigy Benny “The Jet” Rodriguez. The group of misfits shares summer adventures and adventures that revolve around baseball, culminating in an attempt to retrieve a priceless signed baseball from a feared dog. Filled with humor, heart, baseball adventures, and unforgettable summertime memories, The Sandlot has remained a beloved classic for generations of movie lovers. Celebrated for its iconic characters, neighborhood friendships, and nostalgic coming-of-age story, this family favorite captures the spirit of childhood summers like few films can. Rated PG, the film is recommended for children ages 8–10 and older. Please note that this is a carry-in/carry-out event, and guests are asked to help preserve the historic property by taking all trash home with them following the program.
