Last Saturdays: Open Classroom

, Mark your calendars for the last Saturday of every month! May through November, the Green-House is opening its classroom space for free, drop-in fun for visitors of all ages. Expect two themed hands-on activities that will help you explore the art, history, or nature of Green-Wood! Each gathering will offer something different, but whether you’re designing a monument, investigating a nature discovery table, or crafting a masterpiece, the goal remains the same: to spark curiosity and help families connect with each other and the Cemetery. Price: Free Register The Green-House (see details below) Participation is free, registration is recommended so we can get a rough headcount. July 25th: Outside, summer is buzzing with insects, and so is the Green-House classroom! Come learn about what makes a creepy crawly an insect by making your own beautiful bug magnet and exploring Green-Wood’s Education Department’s preserved insect collection. Know Before You Go: Tickets: No registration required. Drop in and join us. Seating and activities are first come, first served. All ages, recommended for 5+ and caregivers. All children must be accompanied by a caregiver. Where To Go: This program takes place at the Green-House (750 Fifth Avenue), near the Main Entrance on Fifth Avenue and 25th Street.
