Community Family Friendly

@ Find us in the Pinecrest community at Pinecrest Gardens’ Spring Garden Day: Wonder in the Gardens! History comes to your neighborhood! Our In-Community programs bring the museum beyond its walls and into community spaces, offering hands-on activities for families and all ages. Participants can explore history through interactive art making activities and engage with objects from the Museum’s education teaching collection. Designed to spark curiosity and creativity, these programs invite families to learn together, connect with local stories, and experience history in fun, accessible ways right where they live. From Pinecrest Gardens: Join us for an enriching experience at our Family Garden Day! Spend a delightful day learning, growing, and playing within the beauty of our garden. Our theme of Wonder will be woven throughout the day’s activities and exhibitions, with poetry, hands on kids activities, garden exploration, and more. Meet our dedicated garden team, partners, and local vendors. Explore interactive booths featuring exciting activations and displays. Enjoy a variety of amenities available throughout the garden, perfect for splashing, climbing, and discovering. Pack a picnic blanket, bathing suit, and grab some lunch from our food vendors to stay and play for the day.  We embrace inclusivity with a special sensory hour from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., offering limited admission and early access for families with cognitive sensitivities.
