The Bill Coleman Jazz Weekend is a premier cultural event celebrating the life and legacy of Paris, Kentucky native and internationally acclaimed jazz trumpeter Bill Coleman. Presented by Hopewell Museum/Historic Paris-Bourbon County, this annual event combines world-class jazz performances, community engagement, heritage tourism, and arts education in the heart of historic downtown Paris. The weekend features an exclusive Jazz Gala and a free community jazz celebration, creating meaningful opportunities for community members to connect through art, history and culture. SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 12, 2026 – JAZZ GALA Hotel Thoroughbred – Main St., Paris, KY 6:30 p.m.: Doors open at Hotel Throughbred where guests can enjoy passed appetizers and custom cocktails 7 p.m. – 8 p.m.: Dinner is served by renowned farm-to-table caterers, RK Bluegrass 8 p.m. – 10 p.m.: Live jazz music by famous The Walnut Street Ramblers featuring La’Shelle Allen Through out the Evening: Highly curated Silent Auction SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 13, 2026 – JAZZ & NEIGHBORS Secretariat Park – Main St., Paris, KY 1:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.: Friends and neighbors arrive to set up their chairs and explore downtown shops and restaurants before the music begins. 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.: Open air, downtown music begins with the first act, nationally recognized JJ Trio. 2:30 p.m. – 2:45 p.m.: Intermission – patrons are encouraged to visit booths where they can enjoy some of downtown Paris’ finest food and shops. 2:45 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.: Jazz music continues and raffle takes place for patrons.
