Start indoors with a beginner-friendly butterfly identification class covering key features, common local species and simple techniques to help you recognize butterflies in the field. Then take a guided walk around the Mt. Pleasant trails and gardens to apply butterfly identification tips. The native plant and pollinator gardens were designed to attract butterflies. Details: Class will start at 9:30 a.m. and the walk will begin around 11:00 a.m. Please remember to dress for the weather and bring your reusable water bottle. This is beginning level walk for adults and interested children over 8 years old (accompanied by an adult).
