July 23, 8 p.m., $ Celebrate National Moth Week (July 18–26) with an enchanting evening exploring the fascinating world of moths and other nocturnal wildlife. Join naturalist Kerry Wixted for a lively presentation on moths, bats and other nighttime creatures, their ecological importance and the impacts of light pollution. After the presentation, head to the Conservancy’s native plant meadow to observe moths up close. Special lights will attract moths for observation and photography. In the spirit of the Moth Ball, attendees are encouraged to dress as their favorite moth or wear wings, antennae or other nature-inspired attire. Whether you’re an avid naturalist or simply curious about the hidden life of the night, this event promises an evening of discovery and wonder.
