About this event
One of 2,387 upcoming events at Huntington Arts Council, and 4,951 across Long Island.
Create a custom wall hanging using a simple frame loom, tapestry needle and yarn, in the Saori style. Saori is a Japanese weaving philosophy rooted in self-expression and discovery. By de-emphasizing “industrial” perfection, the unique rhythm of each weaver is revealed. There are no mistakes-only “design features” and exciting results in color and texture! Participants will learn easy weaving and finishing techniques to create a wall hanging that is unique to them. All art-making materials are included. No weaving experience is necessary.
