Concerts by the Pond presents Nathan Amaral — From Brazil, With Love

Brazilian violinist Nathan Amaral brings From Brazil, With Love to Cold Spring Harbor. Grand Prize winner of the 2024 CAG-YCAT Competitions, First Prize winner of the 2024 Sphinx Competition and recipient of the 2026 Sphinx Medal of Excellence, Amaral has appeared as soloist with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, Philadelphia Orchestra and Philharmonia Orchestra. Born in Rio de Janeiro, he began studying violin at age twelve through a social music project in the Mangueira favela. His Concerts by the Pond program celebrates the music of Brazil, continuing The Current through the rhythms, voices and musical traditions of his homeland.
