Zimbabwean vocal ensemble Nobuntu opens Season 13 with an evening of extraordinary a cappella singing, movement and rhythm. The internationally acclaimed four-woman ensemble draws from Zimbabwean song, Afro-jazz, gospel and original music, incorporating traditional instruments including mbira and percussion. Through music rooted in love, unity, resilience and community, Nobuntu preserves and reimagines the musical heritage of Zimbabwe while creating a vibrant contemporary sound entirely their own. Their Cold Spring Harbor appearance opens The Current, Concerts by the Pond’s 2026–27 season exploring how music and stories move across geography, generations and traditions. Saturday, October 3, 2026 at 7:30 PM Tickets: $75; $60 students St. John’s Episcopal Church 1670 Route 25A, Cold Spring Harbor Free parking. Accessible parking and wheelchair entrances available.
