Join us on September 27th at 3pm debuting a new series in Stony Brook inside Long Island Museum’s historic Carriage Museum “The Carriage House Salon Series”. A new collaboration between Long Island Museum and Long Island Chamber Music, the series aims to embrace the early American tradition of intimate living room salons of the Gilded Age. The Carriage House Salon Series pairs world-class chamber music inside Long Island Museum’s historic Carriage Museum offering audience members an up-close, vibrant connection to classical music and local heritage. This concert promises to memorable afternoon performed by Steinway Artist, Zhenni Li-Cohen on piano and Long Island Chamber Music founder, Gergana Haralampieva. Songs of the Gilded Age explores Featuring music by Gershwin, Dvorak, Rachmaninoff, and more, take a step back in time to a transformative era in music history, tracing the roots of a distinctly American style of music through rich, romantic, and soul-stirring melodies.
