It’s Earth Day, and the spring wildflowers are here! Come out to OHara Woods to see what is blooming on this special day. The preserve is known for its blanket of bluebells, and well also search for mayapples, toothwort, Jack-in-the-pulpit and more. Learn some tips and tricks to ID different flowers and the stories behind their blooms. Registration required by Sunday, April 19: 815-722-9301. Please wear closed-toe shoes and long pants and be prepared to hike 2 miles over uneven natural terrain and trails. Parking and meet up directions will be sent to participants prior to the program. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service to participate in this workday should mention their request when registering or submit a request online no later than 48 hours before the workday.
