Spill the Ink w/ the Author – Ellie Lerum

Monday, November 9th at 5pm, you’re invited to Spill the Ink w/ the Author! Join the Idaho Falls Public Library as we meet with author Ellie Lerum for a presentation and book signing. About Ellie Lerum:— Ellie Lerum is a Christian fantasy author, narrative designer, and cohost of Royalty Free: A Writing Podcast. Her work spans fantasy fiction, tabletop game design, and immersive worldbuilding, with a particular interest in the creatures that inhabit imagined worlds. By drawing connections between wildlife research, ecology, and conservation, Ellie explores how understanding real animals and their environments can inspire more believable fantasy creatures. From anatomy and behavior to habitats, adaptations, and ecological relationships, she encourages storytellers to look beyond what a creature looks like and consider how it lives, survives, and fits into its world. About the Book: — Phantom in the Dark “Demons hide amongst the light, and the shadows are alive. Jean Cassy has always had bad luck- being curseborn brings misfortune, and hers is only getting worse. When her cousin falls ill, she takes it as a sign to leave for Blackrock in order to assist her family. But her plans shatter when she contracts chittering madness- a disease with only two outcomes: amputation or death. Now with this dangerous secret, Jean accepts a position assisting a reclusive researcher known as Popcorn. Yet his work hides darker truths, and as she is drawn deeper into his world, she realizes the dangers she faces are far greater than she imagined. With secrets closing in, and death at her heels, Jean must fight to endure. Because in a world where hope is dying, survival is the only thing that matters.” — from Amazon.com For more information, send us a message or call 208-612-8460.
