We close the series by looking forward. Renowned pianist, composer, and producer J Thomas II deconstructs the standards we love and rebuilds them through the lens of modern Black music. J Thomas II leads an ensemble of the city’s most innovative instrumentalists. A “future-classic” atmosphere. Think of the Great American Songbook reimagined with the textures of J Dilla, Quincy Jones, and D’Angelo.
