From Tokyo to Washington, DC, David Bolton has worked across fields ranging from advertising to teaching professional writing at the University of Maryland. As the author of two poetry books, his pre-Columbian fable, Love Thief, the Legend of Ixmal the Healer, was cited by Kirkus Reviews as one of the “Best Books of 2019“ William Loving is the author of three novels, including City of Angles, Blue Earth River, and his latest, Fells Point. Before turning to fiction, he worked as a journalist at the Los Angeles Times and the Minneapolis Star Tribune. His fiction reflects a journalist’s sharp eye for character and place, blending wit, suspense, and a deep connection to the cities that have shaped him. Raised in Baltimore, he attended Loyola-Blakefield High School and the University of Maryland. He now lives in Pasadena, California, with his wife Rhonda Hillbery.
