About this event

Kyle McCarthy launches her new novel, IMMERSIONS, on the Ivy patio! Taut and spellbinding, IMMERSIONS follows the aftermath of a celebrated dancer’s abrupt decision to quit her company and join an enclosed convent in France, and her younger sister’s obsessive conviction that her sister’s ex-husband is responsible. With art, family, and questions of desire front-and-center, this is a novel you’ll be thinking about long after you read it. Danielle Evans will join McCarthy for a conversation that’s sure to stick with us all long after the event. We’ll see you there! RSVP here! Order IMMERSIONS here! Kyle McCarthy is the author of the novel Everyone Knows How Much I Love You, and her fiction and essays have appeared in Best American Short Stories, American Short Fiction, n+1, and elsewhere. A graduate of the Iowa Writers’ Workshop, she lives in Brooklyn, New York. Danielle Evans is the author of the story collections The Office of Historical Corrections and Before You Suffocate Your Own Fool Self.
