COREY SMITH

Corey Smith is one of country music’s most successful independent artists, building a devoted nationwide following through honest songwriting, relentless touring and a career created largely on his own terms. The Jefferson, Georgia native graduated from the University of Georgia and worked as a high-school teacher before leaving the classroom to pursue music full-time. Since releasing his debut album, Undertones, in 2003, Smith has earned a reputation for candid, highly relatable songs rooted in Southern life, working-class experiences and personal reflection. Fan favorites including “If I Could Do It Again,” “Twenty-One,” “Drinkin’ Again” and laundry list of others have become staples of his live shows. His album The Broken Record reached No. 17 on Billboard’s country chart, while While the Gettin’ Is Good was produced by Keith Stegall, known for his work with Alan Jackson and the Zac Brown Band. Smith’s latest album, Suburban Drawl, was recorded at Nashville’s legendary Sound Emporium and combines his signature Southern storytelling with heartland rock and a seasoned lyrical perspective. After more than two decades of recording and frequently over performing 100 shows a year, Corey Smith remains an enduring touring powerhouse whose deeply personal songs continue to connect with audiences across the country.
