About this event
One of 66 upcoming events at Jefferson County Library, Port Hadlock.
Explore creativity through the art of collage! Use magazines, images, text, and more to create original artworks while learning basic design and composition techniques. Creative collage encourages self-expression, social connection, and experimentation of themes in this supportive and welcoming program for adults and teens. No experience necessary, this program is for beginners and experienced artists alike. Materials will be provided, though participants are welcome to bring personal images or papers if desired. Jolie Maki earned a BFA degree in Metal Arts with a minor in Art History from the University of Washington, after a career in graphic design. While still working on occasion at our library, she continues to create handcrafted jewelry, most recently exploring glass like enamels on copper. If she isn't in her studio experimenting in a new art medium, cutting up paper, hammering metal or torch firing enamels, she can be found outside sitting among nature with her nature journal documenting and drawing what she finds.
