From Jericho Public Library
Forget watching horror movies on Netflix—today we have a lecture that will explore the spine-tingling corridors of scary art history. We will shiver in the Renaissance visions of hell and Goya’s dark paintings. We will trace ghosts -Holy from Pentecost Sunday to Marley’s and on to Casper. We will enter into the eerie realm of witches from Dürer’s engraving on to Strega Nona and La Bafana. All to help get us into the truly unsettling Halloween Spirit!
