Johnson Hall’s Homegrown Series featuring Oren Robinson The Johnson Hall Homegrown Series is a new series that will always feature local artists. Oren Robinson is an 8th generation Mainer who sings songs about the forest and fields, woods and water, and the joys of late stage capitalism. He has been performing since he was 5 years old, with his family’s gospel band. Most notably, Oren performs in the Early Evening Show with Mike Miclon, where he sometimes is the entire Early Evening Show orchestra. He lives in the woods in a handbuilt home with a dog named Banjo, a rooster named Dawg, and four leftover sheep. Dusty Buckets is a three piece string band residing in Maine. They’ve traveled the country as street musicians learning and writing tunes to play for you. With an unmatched, upbeat sound and energy, combined with a deep and complex songwriting style, it surely makes for a unique performance. This show will take place on the Logan Stage (1st Floor) Doors open at 7:00 Show time is 7:30
