Opening Reception! Friday, July 31 | 7 PM Join us for the opening reception of Wild Landscape – Zumwalt Revisited, featuring the breathtaking works of Zumwalt Prairie, one of North America’s last great native grasslands—a place of vast horizons, delicate wildflowers, and untamed beauty. Through painting, photography, and sculpture, artists capture the spirit of the Zumwalt’s open spaces—the rhythm of wind through grass, the shifting light, and the resilience of the land itself. Enjoy an evening of art, community, and conversation surrounded by the beauty of the Wallowa landscape. Music, refreshments & local wines will be served. Exhibit Overview Wild Landscape – Zumwalt Revisited is part of the Josephy Center’s annual series honoring Wallowa County’s remarkable natural areas. This year’s exhibit invites regional artists to explore the Zumwalt Prairie’s unique ecology, history, and sense of place through their creative practice. A field trip to the Zumwalt Prairie (TBD in June) will offer participating artists the chance to gather inspiration while the wildflowers are in bloom.
