People of Ar Cultural Foundation, the team that brought you Echoes of Our Ancestors, presents an unforgettable new journey through the Armenia we remember. Sing Yerevan Sing commemorates the 100th anniversary of Public Radio of Armenia and the 70th anniversary of Armenian National Television – two institutions that have played an important role in preserving Armenian music, culture, and collective memory. The production brings treasured songs from Armenian music’s “Golden Fund” back to the stage, particularly the beloved national songs that shaped Armenian cultural life during the 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s. The concert is dedicated to fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of Armenian national songs and supporting their continued preservation, development, and transmission to future generations. Rooted in Armenian national and folk traditions, these songs are distinguished by expressive Armenian melodies, culturally specific vocal phrasing, and the close relationship between Armenian words and music. For generations, they have been associated with family, childhood, friendship, homeland, and the familiar sounds of Yerevan. Featuring celebrated Armenian vocalists, a full symphonic orchestra conducted by Maestro Sergey Smbatyan, archival memories, vivid animation, and theatrical storytelling, the production connects music with significant moments once shared through Armenian radio and television. Together, these elements create a culturally unique journey through Armenian music, history, and collective memory, allowing the songs and stories of Armenia to connect generations. From unforgettable national moments to first loves, first days of school, family celebrations, and the sounds of everyday Yerevan, this is more than a concert – it is a journey back through our own lives. A once-in-a-lifetime show brought to you by visionary director Arman Nshanian. Featured Artists & Creative Team The exciting events hosted at L.A. LIVE often attract large crowds.
