Novel Thoughts: “The Sea in Winter”

When an ACL tear sidelines Maisie from her ballet classes and auditions, her anxieties and dark moods start to hurt as much as the pain in her knee. Her blended Native American family is supportive, but they don’t realize how much Maisie is hurting inside and out. Will a family road trip to the Makah community where her mother grew up help Maisie regain some hope, or will it end in disaster? Join the Novel Thoughts book club to share about this heartwarming story! Pick up your Lit-Loot boxes starting Monday, November 2! For kids in grades 4 through 6.
