Designed for families with kids, you’ll learn tips on how to identify the diverse species of birds found in the Lake Champlain watershed as well as some basic canoeing skills. This is a family-friendly program for those who are relatively or completely new to birding, with canoeing instruction provided, but experienced birders or paddlers are also welcome! Get the family together and enjoy a day of birding and boating at Lake Champlain Maritime Museum. Be sure to bring clothing that can get wet as well as water to stay hydrated. Bring your own pair of binoculars, we will have a couple pairs to pass around, but not enough for everyone. We will provide canoes, paddles and personal flotation devices (PFDs). We also recommend you bring a hat and sunscreen to stay protected from the sun. This program is weather-dependent and we will communicate cancellations the morning of the scheduled outing. The rain date for this program is 12:30 PM on August 21. Register Here! Add to calendar Google Calendar iCalendar Outlook 365 Outlook Live
