, Commemorate the 250th anniversary of our nation’s Independence Day on July 4 with Lake Champlain Maritime Museum. Throughout the day we’ll have hands-on activities, kids’ games, documentary screening, tours of our new exhibit, Fragments: Voices of the American Revolution on Lake Champlain, and more! Schedule Highlights:  10:30 AM: Reading of the Declaration of Independence  11:00 AM: Tour of the exhibit Fragments: Voices of the American Revolution on Lake Champlain  11:00 AM–3:00 PM: Hands-on educational activities for all ages  1:00 PM: Tour of the exhibit Fragments: Voices of the American Revolution on Lake Champlain  2:00 PM: Screening of segments from Ken Burns’ The American Revolution documentary (details below)  3:00 PM: Tour of the exhibit Fragments: Voices of the American Revolution on Lake Champlain  Independence Day programs and activities are free to attend for all ages, no registration required. Food will be available for purchase in collaboration with Viva El Sabor. Screening Description Total run time: 42m, 13s Clip description: This screening reel brings to life the stories of the American Revolution, exploring the ideas and conflicts that ignited independence and the struggles and sacrifices of soldiers, women, and Native and African American allies. It reveals how this pivotal period shaped not just the original Thirteen Colonies, but the future of the entire continent.  Corporate funding for THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION was provided by Bank of America.
