About this event

Family Friendly

Get boots shined and ready—it’s rodeo time in Blythewood. The 16th Annual Blythewood Spring Championship Rodeo, presented by Scout Motors, takes place Friday, April 24, and Saturday, April 25, 2026, at 10433 Wilson Blvd. Gates open at 5:30 PM, with rodeo action beginning at 7:30 PM each night. Top-ranked professional cowboys and cowgirls from across the country will gather to compete in eight action-packed rough stock and timed events, including bucking broncs, steer wrestling, barrel racing, and bull riding, along with crowd-favorite Mutton Bustin’. Blythewood has become a premier stop on the International Professional Rodeo Association national circuit, drawing elite competitors seeking points and prize money. This family-friendly event attracts thousands each year and is recognized as one of the most competitive rodeo venues in the Southeast, while also supporting community growth through donations to local youth groups and charities. Attendees can enjoy a full evening of food and entertainment, including the DOKO Mechanical Bull, pony rides, inflatables, and a petting zoo presented by Clayton Homes. Guests can also enter the Boot Race for a chance to win Ariat cowboy boots or jeans. The event takes place under the stars at the Prisma Health Arena, rain or shine. Early arrival is recommended for the best seating, as the event is expected to sell out. Pets, coolers, and personal chairs are not permitted.
