Community Food & Drink

Did you know there are 100+ Black-owned food establishments in the Midlands? Black Eats Week 803 shines a spotlight on these incredible businesses during a weeklong celebration of food, culture, and community. Held every year during the week of Juneteenth, Black Eats Week 803 is a weeklong celebration featuring specials and promotions at participating Black-owned restaurants, food trucks, coffee shops, creameries, bakeries, and more across Richland, Lexington, Kershaw, Fairfield, and Sumter counties. Throughout the week, guests can enjoy exclusive breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert offerings while discovering new local favorites. The celebration concludes with a “Best Of” competition on Sunday, June 28 from 1:00–5:00 PM (12:00 PM for VIPs), where attendees can sample and vote on favorite dishes such as macaroni and cheese, fried chicken, collard greens, fried fish, shrimp and grits, red velvet cake, and more. Black Eats Week 803 encourages the community to explore, support, and celebrate the diverse culinary talent shaping the Midlands food scene.
