The annual Spring Plant Sale at the Hampton-Preston Mansion offers a unique opportunity to purchase and learn about a variety of plants propagated from the Living Collections across Historic Columbia’s sites. The sale will feature herbaceous plants, woody perennials, and evergreens, many of which are rare or not available elsewhere. These plants are integral to the stories told at the historic sites, and a list of available plants will be posted prior to the event. Event Details: Friday, April 10, 2026: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM Saturday, April 11, 2026: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM Member Benefits: Exclusive Online Pre-Sale (March 24 – April 4): Access rare and limited plants available only to members. Early Access Shopping (Thursday, April 9, 2026): Exclusive early shopping hours from 4:00 – 6:00 PM. Parking: Free street parking is available around the Hampton-Preston Mansion. Please observe all posted parking signs. The back entrance on Laurel Street can be used for loading purchases after the sale. Weather: If inclement weather occurs, the Spring Plant Sale will be held at the Boyd Foundation Horticultural Center, located behind the Hampton-Preston Mansion Gardens.
