Walking Tour, hosted by Historic Columbia. This guided 75-minute tour explores the rich architectural and cultural history of the 1300–1700 blocks of Main Street, where the city’s past meets its modern renaissance. Participants will learn about the evolution of downtown Columbia—from its early commercial beginnings to its current status as a hub for dining, art, and entertainment. Knowledgeable guides share insights into the craftsmanship and design of landmark buildings, the businesses that shaped the area, and the ongoing preservation efforts that keep Main Street’s character alive. The tour begins and ends at Boyd Plaza, directly across from the Columbia Museum of Art, and is limited to 20 participants. Advance ticket purchase is required, as no walk-up sales will be available. Parking: Guests can find free, metered parking on Sundays or use nearby parking decks. Accessible parking is available close to Boyd Plaza. Please note the tour includes standing and walking approximately eight blocks on city sidewalks.
